Rachel and Tyler were married in paradise! It’s called Paradise Valley for a reason, that’s for sure.  It was a lovely day under the big sky at Deep Creek Range outside of Livingston, Montana.  The weather was very eventful- it started with a lot of sun and wind and then right before Rachel walked down the aisle, it started to POUR.  It continued for about 15 minutes and all their guests stuck it out with so much love and support. These two and their family and friends boogied and kicked up their heels all evening long.  We had so much fun capturing it all!

A big congratulations to Rachel & Tyler!  It was an honor for us to be there.  We were so thrilled to be your Livingston Wedding Photographers.

Anna and Randy were married at Big Sky Resort, just outside of Bozeman, Montana, exactly one month ago! They are both from the Green Bay area, so they planned their destination wedding from afar. The small fact of them being from Green Bay made us so excited!  We have family from there as well so it created a quick cheese head commonality. :) They picked Big Sky because Anna’s family has a house on the mountain and she grew up coming out on ski trips.  Anna decided to add to those memories by getting married to the love of her life in Big Sky.

They had an absolutely fabulous day!  Their ceremony was down in the meadow at Big Sky Chapel and their reception was held at the gorgeous Summit Hotel.  We took a ride up the chairlift with the wedding party, which is always super fun!  It was a hot day, so going up in elevation really helped.  Once again, being Big Sky Montana Wedding Photographers treated us very well.  Thank you Anna & Randy!

Last month we photographed a lovely wedding in one of our favorite little towns- Golden, Colorado.  It was a morning wedding, which was refreshing, bright and delicious (breakfast food, nom nom).  Molly and Zach were married in a beautiful Episcopal church downtown and then continued on to Mount Vernon Country Club for some celebration!  I think these two did such a good job making it unique to them.  They wrote and published a newspaper titled “Beautiful People Monthly- Now With Lower Standards” that was used as part of the centerpieces.  It was seriously hilarious.  It had articles written by them, their parents, and siblings. The front page article was “Marriage of the Century: Southern Goober Marries Local Dime.”  It’s obvious that Zach thought he was marrying up. :) A local caricature artist was at the reception too!  What a great way for guests to be entertained and then be able to bring home a keepsake wedding favor!

We photographed Molly and Zach’s engagement session last year in Golden and were so happy to return for their wedding.  It was so special for us to see them get hitched as well as reunite with the rest of our church small group.  You will notice us in the last photo! :) We were so joyous to be Bozeman Wedding Photographers in Colorado for the weekend. Thank you for having us capture one of the biggest days of your life M & Z!

We began our busy wedding season with Kassie and Ty and it couldn’t have started on a better note! These two were married last month at Chancey’s in Huntley, Montana.  We met Kassie and her wonderful mom at the Yellowstone Art Museum Bridal Fair two years ago and we hit it off with them right away. Kassie and Ty were married on a very special date, May 24th, 2015, their 8 year anniversary!   We had a little rain to deal with, but it was cooperative enough to have the ceremony outside as well as most of the photos. In fact, the sun started shining right before Kassie walked down the aisle.  So many friends and family were there to support them.  Most of them have been there throughout their entire relationship, which I thought was pretty special!

These two are heading out to St. Louis next month so Ty can attend chiropractic school.  I think it’s so neat when couples start off marriage with a big adventure!  Ty and Kassie, you two are going to do so well out there!  Thank you so much for being so welcoming to Roy and I. We are so grateful you picked us to be your Billings Montana Wedding Photographers.  We can’t wait to see you back in Montana sometime! :)

We photographed this wedding last month in Whitefish, Montana and it was absolutely beautiful!  It was one of those weddings where anyone involved is thinking to themselves, “Is this even real?!”  That is because the wedding ceremony took place on a frozen lake!  The couple is from the San Francisco area, but they have a deep passion for the Montana winters and snowboarding. The groom (Alex) had visited Whitefish a few times prior and knew that he wanted to get married there someday.  He didn’t have to convince his bride, she was on board right away!  They were married on Whitefish Lake with Whitefish Mountain Resort as the backdrop.  They lived up the winter theme to the max!  The guests were greeted with blankets and warm cocktails as they arrived to the ceremony location.  It was the perfect afternoon, a balmy 35 degrees.  I don’t think the bride could have asked for more.

When Jaime and Alex contacted me, told me more about their wedding day, and asked me to be their Montana destination wedding photographer, I was especially excited!  Winter weddings are always up there among my favorites.  Come on Montana brides, get married in the winter time!  Maybe this wedding will help convince you. ;)
