We had the best time being Montana wedding photographers in Coeur d’Alene, ID for Courtney and David’s beautiful mountain wedding. It was such an honor when Courtney approached us last year about photographing her destination wedding in Idaho.  We were anticipating this one for a long time… to see Courtney as a bride was going to be breathtaking!  And it was. :) Courtney is not the typical bride- she is the girl other brides go to for all their wedding day help and ideas. It made us all so excited to see what she would come up with for her own wedding!  She runs an amazing style blog, manages a beautiful Montana bridal boutique, coaches high school volleyball, and is constantly dreaming up fun events and get-togethers for everyone to enjoy. As you look through the wedding day pictures below you will see her talents conveyed through all the images!

Photographing Courtney and David’s engagement session in Glacier National Park last winter made us really excited for their wedding day in Coeur d’Alene.  Courtney and David’s faith-based ceremony was absolutely beautiful- it started with her dad praying over them and ended with every guest getting the chance to partake in communion.  What powerful moments and testimonies of their faith as a couple!

We love traveling for destination weddings. Congratulations to Darrin Williams and Cassie Smart- now Mr. and Mrs. Williams!  We at Brooke Peterson Photography had the best time being your Montana wedding photographers in Billings, MT.  Cassie looked gorgeous (as usual) and Darrin was cleaned up and looking very handsome as well.  These two had such a wonderful Montana wedding at Chancey’s Event Center just outside of Billings in Huntley, MT.  How can you beat being married under the Big Sky of Montana?!  I don’t think you can. :)

Cassie is the sweetest Montana girl out there.  She is stunningly beautiful inside and out!  We knew Cassie and Darrin’s wedding was going to be the best celebration because we had a blast photographing their engagement session in Billings last winter- with a cozy campfire and s’mores.  It was so fun to see their friends and family come from all over to honor their love and their leap into marriage.

We love when couples from out of state choose to say “I Do” under the Big Sky of Montana.  Especially when they choose to work with some of our favorite people and the best in the business like Margo – Big Sky Wedding and Conference Manager (who we had the privilege to photograph her wedding the week prior: click here).  Over the last few years Sharon and Mike have made it a priority to come out west from North Carolina to Big Sky, MT for an annual ski trip.  They both share a love for the outdoors and for the casual charm that Big Sky Resort has to offer.  We met Sharon and Mike on a beautiful winter day last ski season in Big Sky, Montana for their engagement session.  These two are up for anything.  We convinced them to take their eyes off the slope and ski past us together to get the perfect photograph and they said “YES!”  We love photographing Montana bride and grooms that have a “Let’s do it” attitude!

Having been married in Big Sky, MT ourselves we always consider it a great privilege to be asked to be Big Sky wedding photographers for others that share the same love for the town that we do.  Sharon and Mike were so excited to have a Montana destination wedding in Big Sky because they love this state and wanted to share their passion for Montana with their friends and family from North Carolina.

Sharon and Mike’s wedding day was an absolute blast.  All the guests adjusted to the elevation change and participated in all the fun activities they had planned for them… like Yellowstone National Park, zip-lining and hiking.  Thank you so much for having us be your big sky wedding photographers.  We hope you enjoy your pictures!

Congratulations to an amazing Montana bride and groom – Margo and Ethan!  We had so much fun photographing their spectacular Big Sky, Montana wedding at Big Sky Resort.  Margo and Ethan are some of the most fun, caring, giving, and all around-cool people.  It was so fun to see Margo and Ethan celebrate with the entire Big Sky community on their wedding day.  There was an abundance of laughing, smiling, hugging, cheersing, jamming and story-telling fun!  It was an honor to be their Big Sky Montana wedding photographers for such an awesome union of two great people!

Margo has spent the last several years planning, organizing, and coordinating other couple’s weddings in Big Sky.  Ethan has been heavily involved in bringing great bluegrass music into the the Bozeman and Big Sky area as well as managing bands.  Now it was time for these two to enjoy their own hard work by celebrating their wedding and enjoying great music with all their family and friends.  Their Big Sky wedding truly felt like a Montana summer party- the weather was perfect as well!

We will always have a special place in our hearts for Big Sky, MT because that’s where we were married. We had the BEST time being Billings Montana Wedding Photographers at Kimberly & Kyle’s beautiful wedding in Billings, MT.  Kimberly looked absolutely stunning and Kyle was sharp as a tack.  These two are real love birds and have been literally flying back and forth across the country to keep it that way.  They now both are in Texas, but soon will be relocating to Nashville, TN for Kimberly’s final steps to become an anesthesiologist.  We were so excited when Kimberly told us that she wanted to be married in her home town of Billings, Montana.  She will always be a true Montana girl!

One of my favorite moments of a wedding is the first look – when the bride chooses to see the groom prior to the ceremony.  Kimberly and Kyle’s first look was downtown Billings at the James F. Battin Federal Courthouse.  After running around downtown Billings dodging the rain it turned out to be the perfect location for Kimberly and Kyle to see each other for the first time on their wedding day.  The look on Kyle’s face when he saw his bride was priceless!  We always feel so blessed when we get to witness these lovely moments!

Kimberly and Kyle were married at the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch.  The reception following the ceremony was at the charming Northern Hotel.  Kimberly’s stepmom did a lot of the decorating and it turned out so beautiful! It was a fantastic Montana wedding for two amazing people.  We know these love birds will do so well together wherever they end up.  Thanks Kimberly and Kyle… enjoy your sneak peek!
