We love to travel and love to photograph couples in LOVE.  When Alison and Scott wanted me to come to Seattle for their engagement session I was thrilled!  They are getting married next January in Whitefish, Montana (one of our favorite places to shoot winter weddings) and I was so grateful when they decided to have me out to Seattle to meet them and bop around the city for some photos.  We walked everywhere and had such a great evening.  Now that 90% of our weddings are in the great sate of Montana it is nice to switch it up completely and photograph a couple on the city streets.  Being Montana wedding photographers, the “city streets” definitely differ from here to there!  Their enthusiasm and love for Seattle was so fun to capture.  Thanks again Alison and Scott for showing me around your city! We will be looking forward to your winter wedding in Whitefish.

Anna and Randy were married at Big Sky Resort, just outside of Bozeman, Montana, exactly one month ago! They are both from the Green Bay area, so they planned their destination wedding from afar. The small fact of them being from Green Bay made us so excited!  We have family from there as well so it created a quick cheese head commonality. :) They picked Big Sky because Anna’s family has a house on the mountain and she grew up coming out on ski trips.  Anna decided to add to those memories by getting married to the love of her life in Big Sky.

They had an absolutely fabulous day!  Their ceremony was down in the meadow at Big Sky Chapel and their reception was held at the gorgeous Summit Hotel.  We took a ride up the chairlift with the wedding party, which is always super fun!  It was a hot day, so going up in elevation really helped.  Once again, being Big Sky Montana Wedding Photographers treated us very well.  Thank you Anna & Randy!

When Brooke contacted me to do her senior photos, I was so stoked!  I know her from when she was an 8th grader and she went on a trip to Washington, D.C. with my dad’s company Global Travel Alliance.  Roy and I were both on that trip doing some guiding and photography and we got to know Brooke a little bit! Time really flies, because now she is about to conquer high school!  We did her pictures right near summer solstice, so we had do get up super early (like 5am!) to get the good light.  Thanks Brooke for being up for anything.  It was a blast hitting the hills of Bozeman with you and fancying up a little bit downtown. We photographed this wedding last month in Whitefish, Montana and it was absolutely beautiful!  It was one of those weddings where anyone involved is thinking to themselves, “Is this even real?!”  That is because the wedding ceremony took place on a frozen lake!  The couple is from the San Francisco area, but they have a deep passion for the Montana winters and snowboarding. The groom (Alex) had visited Whitefish a few times prior and knew that he wanted to get married there someday.  He didn’t have to convince his bride, she was on board right away!  They were married on Whitefish Lake with Whitefish Mountain Resort as the backdrop.  They lived up the winter theme to the max!  The guests were greeted with blankets and warm cocktails as they arrived to the ceremony location.  It was the perfect afternoon, a balmy 35 degrees.  I don’t think the bride could have asked for more.

When Jaime and Alex contacted me, told me more about their wedding day, and asked me to be their Montana destination wedding photographer, I was especially excited!  Winter weddings are always up there among my favorites.  Come on Montana brides, get married in the winter time!  Maybe this wedding will help convince you. ;)

These two were a delight to photograph!  We were blessed with the most amazing weather, combined with the perfect time of day.  We also photographed them in one of our favorite places- Golden, Colorado!  We moved from there just over a year ago and we hold so many great memories so close to our hearts in this Rocky Mountain town.  Molly and Zach were in our church small group, so we were ecstatic when they chose us as their wedding and engagement photographers!  Being a Montana wedding photographer is fun and all, but we love when we get to switch it up and travel for work.
