Thank you to all our clients for making our 2012 so special- we had the best year yet!  We feel blessed to take your photos during some of the most exciting moments of your life- it is something we always feel so privileged to do.  Right now I (Brooke) am cuddled up on the couch  with my husband Roy, sipping on some holiday cheer and thinking back on what a great year it was at Brooke Peterson Photography.  I am so thankful. What do you get when you combine my brother’s mad art skills and my photography?

Kristin & Skyler have become some of our best friends since we moved down to Colorado a little over a year ago.  They live only about 2 minutes away from us!  We are so grateful for that because in a big city, having best friends that live close is pretty rare.  For their Christmas card, Kristin thought of the creative idea to have me take a photo in downtown Golden, and then have my brother draw them as cartoons!  Pretty neat idea, huh?  I was excited to see how Kristin’s hair would look cartoon-ified and I think it turned out awesome. :)

My friend Christina came to visit me in Denver last weekend.  Christina and I went to school together for our 6th and 7th grade years down in Southern Florida and we spent all our time pranking boys, learning Britney Spears’ latest dance moves, and singing at the top of our lungs to N*Sync.  My memories with this girl are definitely categorized under the “good ‘ole days”.

We spent our weekend skiing the Colorado slopes, enjoying sunny patio happy hours, and eating yummy breakfast in Boulder.   This weekend we even witnessed a REAL-LIFE FIGHT break out on the Denver public bus!  Scary stuff, I tell ya.  Oh, and as you can see, we did an impromptu photo shoot, too!

Last week I was blessed with an amazing Costa Rica adventure with my husband, Roy! It was a business (Global Travel Alliance) trip for him , so we had a handful of his clients that traveled with us as well. What a fun group!  These images are from the pineapple fields (pineapples that get shipped straight to Costco!) and from a small school we visited/played soccer with- and yes, the Costa Ricans beat us! :)  This is just a small part of our trip, but definitely some of my favorite images came from these two stops.  All images © brooke peterson photography

I am privileged to have some of my travel photography up in McCormick Cafe, last month and this month! Last Friday I accompanied my photographs during the artwalk downtown, and it was a wonderful evening.  The photographs are from my husband and I’s travels through Europe last November!
