We had the best time being Montana wedding photographers in Coeur d’Alene, ID for Courtney and David’s beautiful mountain wedding. It was such an honor when Courtney approached us last year about photographing her destination wedding in Idaho.  We were anticipating this one for a long time… to see Courtney as a bride was going to be breathtaking!  And it was. :) Courtney is not the typical bride- she is the girl other brides go to for all their wedding day help and ideas. It made us all so excited to see what she would come up with for her own wedding!  She runs an amazing style blog, manages a beautiful Montana bridal boutique, coaches high school volleyball, and is constantly dreaming up fun events and get-togethers for everyone to enjoy. As you look through the wedding day pictures below you will see her talents conveyed through all the images!

Photographing Courtney and David’s engagement session in Glacier National Park last winter made us really excited for their wedding day in Coeur d’Alene.  Courtney and David’s faith-based ceremony was absolutely beautiful- it started with her dad praying over them and ended with every guest getting the chance to partake in communion.  What powerful moments and testimonies of their faith as a couple!

We love traveling for destination weddings. We photographed Natasha and Brian’s engagement session on one of the most beautiful spring mornings in Whitefish, MT.  We had their shoot scheduled for the evening before, but had to cancel due to non-stop rain.  We were so pumped when we woke up the next day and saw that the rain had stopped, the skies had cleared, and it was a glorious Montana spring morning!  As you can see, these two are so adorable… and fun. We probably laughed 75% of the time while photographing their engagement pictures.  These two were the best to photograph.  We love these pictures because their personality comes through them all :-)

They are from Colorado Springs, but currently live in Great Falls while Brian is on military duty (we thank you for your service Brian).  While they have been up north, they have explored much of Montana and Canada. Since the Montana towns are so far apart they frequent their book on tape collection to pass the time… it was fun to hear of their adventures so far!  Just a few months ago, Brian took Natasha to the beautiful Lodge at Whitefish Lake and proposed to her!  It was so neat to be able to photograph them in the town where “he put a ring on it.”  Thanks again you two- enjoy your images and come back to Whitefish soon!

Oh Montana, you get me every time!  The light and the wide-openness of this state is to die for!  It makes us absolutely love photographing engagement sessions in Montana.  There is really nothing better than being wedding photographers up here.  Cassie and Darrin are getting married this summer just outside Billings, MT at Chancey’s Event Center.  We are looking forward to photographing their big wedding day- especially since we had such a blast with these two during their engagement session!

We found the prettiest spot right on the Yellowstone River for their engagement and portrait shoot.  This Montana river location is courtesy of Darrin’s best man who gave us permission to use his family’s ranch! Driving through the thick mud, winding down a steep hill, and finally arriving at the Yellowstone River’s edge was quite the journey, but when it means the photos will be extra special we don’t mind getting dirty. :) We strolled through the woods along the river, climbed a few trees, and even had time for a campfire along the banks. Although it was a little breezy at times, we managed to roast marshmallows and make delicious s’mores. They were even nice enough to make the photographers some!  Thanks you two – we can’t wait to photograph your wedding this summer.

We were so excited to photograph Mike and Sharon at one of our favorite places in Montana – Big Sky Resort. (Brides, you have to talk with Margo -Wedding & Event Manager– about getting married here, it is truly amazing)! Mike proposed to Sharon last year during one of their annual trips to Big Sky, MT.  Skiing in Montana has become a big tradition for these two over the past several years.  They are looking forward to their friends and family traveling to Montana for their wedding this summer.  We are too – we love being Big Sky Montana Wedding Photographers!

We met up with Sharon and Mike early in the afternoon on a beautiful blue bird day at Big Sky.  After snapping a few photos in the base area of the ski resort we headed for the lifts.  Lone Peak was looking incredible (as usual!) in so many of the shots.  It is always a little easier for pictures when you have such stunning back drops like the Montana mountains!

We shredded down a couple ski runs and stopped on the side for some more photos.  Overall, we had an absolute blast photographing this wonderful couple’s engagement session in Big Sky, MT.  Thanks Sharon and Mike for a great time – we are looking forward to your wedding this summer at Big Sky Resort!

Brooke Peterson Photography photographed a cozy Montana winter engagement session and we are so excited to share it with you!  We had so much fun with these two love birds as we tromped through knee high snow in the frozen MT mountains!  Our great friends Courtney (of 114-West) and David were up for anything and everything during their winter engagement session in Glacier National Park.  These two are stinkin’ gorgeous together, don’t you think!? The first blanket they are snuggled up in is the official Pendleton Glacier National Park blanket, borrowed from David’s parents.  We thought that was super cool.  The morning turned out to be a bit chilly but the blankets helped them stay warm. Overall we could not have asked for a better Montana engagement session – it was snowy and beautiful!

We are so excited to photograph Courtney and David’s wedding later this summer on Coeur d’Alene Lake in Idaho.  It will be a day to remember!  Courtney is one of the most creative girls out there…. there is no doubt her wedding day will be just her and David’s style (yes, David’s too- I am sure we will see some splashes of Green Bay Packer colors here and there)!  We can’t wait to see it all come together!  Their wedding will showcase them in a perfect way, professing their love for one another in a beautiful mountain lake town.
