We photographed Natasha and Brian’s engagement session on one of the most beautiful spring mornings in Whitefish, MT.  We had their shoot scheduled for the evening before, but had to cancel due to non-stop rain.  We were so pumped when we woke up the next day and saw that the rain had stopped, the skies had cleared, and it was a glorious Montana spring morning!  As you can see, these two are so adorable… and fun. We probably laughed 75% of the time while photographing their engagement pictures.  These two were the best to photograph.  We love these pictures because their personality comes through them all :-)

They are from Colorado Springs, but currently live in Great Falls while Brian is on military duty (we thank you for your service Brian).  While they have been up north, they have explored much of Montana and Canada. Since the Montana towns are so far apart they frequent their book on tape collection to pass the time… it was fun to hear of their adventures so far!  Just a few months ago, Brian took Natasha to the beautiful Lodge at Whitefish Lake and proposed to her!  It was so neat to be able to photograph them in the town where “he put a ring on it.”  Thanks again you two- enjoy your images and come back to Whitefish soon!

We at Brooke Peterson Photography are so pleased to introduce to you our Class of 2015 Senior Models. Since we first announced our senior portrait model program a few months ago we had so many amazing applicants.  It was difficult to narrow it down to just a few.  We are so excited to have these beautiful, intelligent, fun-loving girls represent Brooke Peterson Photography in their high schools in the Flathead Valley.  We hung out with them last week to grab some photos and had the best time!  We thought of no better way to conclude the evening then to top it off with some Sweet Peaks Ice Cream. :)

We have the BEST girls in the Flathead Valley ready to spread the word about BPP’s senior photography! From top to bottom:  Emma hails from Glacier High School, we have Savannah representing Flathead High School, and in Whitefish, MT we have the lovely Myndi and Lindsay from Whitefish High School!  We feel so privileged to have these girls represent our Senior Photography program in their schools.  All of our girls looked so stylish – thanks to Courtney of 114-West.  She worked with each of them to bring out their natural beauty and personalities through their coordinated ensembles.  Thanks Court!  We are thrilled that Courtney is offering her fashionista advice to all of our 2015 senior clients.

We are so excited here at Brooke Peterson Photography to be MONTANA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS! This summer we will be traveling the great state of Montana as we capture some beautiful Montana brides on their big wedding day.  You can call us Billings Wedding Photographers, Red Lodge Wedding Photographers, Bozeman Wedding Photographers, Big Sky Wedding Photographers, Bigfork Wedding Photographers, Whitefish Wedding Photographers, and Coeur d’Alene Wedding Photographers to name a few.

We always consider it a great privilege and honor to be chosen to photograph real Montana weddings.  It makes us think back to our own wedding in Big Sky, MT where we reunited with friends, visited with family from far off places, and celebrated the beautiful union of marriage under the Big Sky of Montana.  Now we are looking forward to another lovely season being Montana Wedding Photographers.   We are blessed to photograph so many amazing brides and grooms, families, and friends from all over the world as they gather in celebration of the people they love!

Last summer was filled with so many unforgettable weddings.  We wanted to share a few fun Montana Wedding Pictures and Colorado Wedding Pictures from our 2013 Rocky Mountain weddings.  Our wedding season had some great moments, starting with Jonna and Ben’s wedding in Helena, MT.  Their love for each other was seriously contagious.  It was also fun to learn that Ben’s family has a tradition of escorting the bride off in a wheelbarrow to finish the day.  Another great memory was how we met Jessica and Robert.  It started at Starbucks as we overheard them talking about wedding photography.  Long story short we photographed their incredible Colorado wedding in the Rocky Mountains outside Golden, CO.  Now we get to call them great friends!  Our wedding season finished up perfectly as we photographed a great winter Montana wedding in Whitefish, MT.  Lindley and Jared’s wedding was a true celebration of love, fun, family, and friends.  It felt like we were all inside a snow globe.  We had so much fun in Whitefish at their wedding that we decided to open up another Brooke Peterson Photography location there.

Cheers to a great 2014 Montana wedding photography season.  We can’t wait!

Oh Montana, you get me every time!  The light and the wide-openness of this state is to die for!  It makes us absolutely love photographing engagement sessions in Montana.  There is really nothing better than being wedding photographers up here.  Cassie and Darrin are getting married this summer just outside Billings, MT at Chancey’s Event Center.  We are looking forward to photographing their big wedding day- especially since we had such a blast with these two during their engagement session!

We found the prettiest spot right on the Yellowstone River for their engagement and portrait shoot.  This Montana river location is courtesy of Darrin’s best man who gave us permission to use his family’s ranch! Driving through the thick mud, winding down a steep hill, and finally arriving at the Yellowstone River’s edge was quite the journey, but when it means the photos will be extra special we don’t mind getting dirty. :) We strolled through the woods along the river, climbed a few trees, and even had time for a campfire along the banks. Although it was a little breezy at times, we managed to roast marshmallows and make delicious s’mores. They were even nice enough to make the photographers some!  Thanks you two – we can’t wait to photograph your wedding this summer.

We were so excited to photograph Mike and Sharon at one of our favorite places in Montana – Big Sky Resort. (Brides, you have to talk with Margo -Wedding & Event Manager– about getting married here, it is truly amazing)! Mike proposed to Sharon last year during one of their annual trips to Big Sky, MT.  Skiing in Montana has become a big tradition for these two over the past several years.  They are looking forward to their friends and family traveling to Montana for their wedding this summer.  We are too – we love being Big Sky Montana Wedding Photographers!

We met up with Sharon and Mike early in the afternoon on a beautiful blue bird day at Big Sky.  After snapping a few photos in the base area of the ski resort we headed for the lifts.  Lone Peak was looking incredible (as usual!) in so many of the shots.  It is always a little easier for pictures when you have such stunning back drops like the Montana mountains!

We shredded down a couple ski runs and stopped on the side for some more photos.  Overall, we had an absolute blast photographing this wonderful couple’s engagement session in Big Sky, MT.  Thanks Sharon and Mike for a great time – we are looking forward to your wedding this summer at Big Sky Resort!
