Thank you to all our clients for making our 2012 so special- we had the best year yet!  We feel blessed to take your photos during some of the most exciting moments of your life- it is something we always feel so privileged to do.  Right now I (Brooke) am cuddled up on the couch  with my husband Roy, sipping on some holiday cheer and thinking back on what a great year it was at Brooke Peterson Photography.  I am so thankful. So, thank you.

What do you get when you combine my brother’s mad art skills and my photography?

Kristin & Skyler have become some of our best friends since we moved down to Colorado a little over a year ago.  They live only about 2 minutes away from us!  We are so grateful for that because in a big city, having best friends that live close is pretty rare.  For their Christmas card, Kristin thought of the creative idea to have me take a photo in downtown Golden, and then have my brother draw them as cartoons!  Pretty neat idea, huh?  I was excited to see how Kristin’s hair would look cartoon-ified and I think it turned out awesome. :)

Kristin, Drew and I hit up Denver Botanic Gardens for their engagement session.  It was December 2nd and it was like 60 degrees!!  We wanted at least a little bit of a wintery feel, so Kristin and Drew did some bundling up.  I even had them “act cold” for a couple shots. :)

They are one of the cutest couples I have ever taken photos of- it makes me so excited for their wedding next August!  Congrats on your engagement you two.

Brittani and Devan came down to Denver from Montana for their engagement session and we did it pumpkin-style!  We headed out to one of the big pumpkin patches in the area and made an evening of it.  Hayrides, pumpkin picking and pumpkin carving were among the activities that we partook in.  Our night ended with a little dance-off and if you ask me, I am pretty sure Brittani won. :)

Thanks you two- you guys were the perfect couple for this fall shoot.  Stay tuned for some shots that we took in the city! I can not wait until next July.. your wedding is going to be fabulous!

This is what I like to call the “Married-and-so-in-love-session!” Greg and Kelly sure demonstrated this well, don’t you think?  These two have become some of our best friends down here in Denver.  Maybe what makes them so cool and compatible is because they are from Montana- same place we’re from. ;)

Greg and Kelly are both graduating from the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine this year and will probably head out of town for Greg’s residency next year.  So, we wanted to visit some memorable places for the shoot.  Our first stop for their shoot was Anschutz Medical Campus, a place where a whole lot of their time is spent.  Our second stop was at City Park- the park right near their home. Thanks for having me do these G & K.  You two are going to be the cutest doctor/nurse couple ever!!
