Senior pictures – frequently asked questions
What’s it like having Brooke Peterson Photography shoot your senior pictures?
You will have a blast! We love to hear what your ideas are and if you have anything in mind. Locations and props are always discussed prior to the session. It is fun to collaborate, and to think of ways we can make your session unique to you. No portrait session with us is ever the same. Also- be prepared for your shoot so we can start right on time! We schedule your session when the lighting is best, so arriving on time to your shoot is very important.
What should you wear?
Bring a few outfits. Solid colors work well against a variety of backgrounds, but don’t be afraid to add some fun patterns, scarves, hats, and layers to your outfits! Stay away from shirts with big graphics on them. Above all else, dress in attire that you feel the best in!
Can you bring props to your shoot?
Absolutely! Adding a personal element to your shoot can be so much fun! Anything flies- from your soccer jersey to your cookbooks and apron. :)
When should you schedule your senior pictures?
In the summer and fall months, we book about 2-3 months out. If you have a time of the year you would like to have them done, make sure you contact us at least 2 months prior.
Will we travel for a senior portrait assignment?
Most definitely we travel! Please inquire for a detailed quote.
Is Brooke the photographer at your senior shoot, or would it be someone else (an associate)?
Brooke is always the photographer for your entire senior portrait shoot.
How do you book?
The session fee along with a signed contract is due in order to reserve your session with us. Everything is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Remember, we take a limited amount of senior portrait shoots each year so the sooner you book, the better!
